The Powers That Be (TPTB) and The Revolution of The Future

Power, control, influence and wealth:

The World is a fallable object. In reality we cannot prevent any number of natural
disasters from claiming lives and destroying our cities and towns.
People who place faith in political leadership or who place faith in corrupt business
are unable to face the perils that threaten our existance as a modern, developed,
technologically advanced human race.

So many people feel that the World is an indestructible ball of fun, to be used for
generating wealth and building empires. No empire truly has a guarantee of permanant rule. The rich businessmen, politicians and elite are unaware that they will also one day be reduced to being equals with other men and women, no richer or poorer classes.

What actually holds our modern, technological existance together?
A few factors-  oil, (fuel), computers, money and Governance.

It is already an established fact that the supply of oil is currently very low and within a
couple of decades the demand for oil will increase by a third more, when in reality
there are not enough oil fields across the World currently developed to provide a supply. The oil will eventually run very low to the point where only a select few countries will have fuel for their cities, for cars, and for powering massive turbines to generate electricity.
If greener,alternative technology is not available within a couple of decades many millions of homes and cars will not have fuels,and be useless. Many people will be unable to travel to their place of work or will be unabale to drive to schools or to the shops.

Population rise will quickly place too much pressure on oil supplies and our modern
existance will be slowed down, with many people reverting to self-sufficiency farming to survive. As oil runs low, food production will become low and transportation of foods will become expensive, with few countries getting the food that they require.
A large percentage of industry, factories , businesses and homes will be without adequate power. Industrial-generated economies of towns and cities will be weakened greatly.

Money is another problem. Over 90 percent of money only exists on computers, in data form. Cash itself is only used by the workers for small purchases. The major business dealers are the traders of millions and billions in revenue. But if you take away their computers, then a different scenario eventuates.

Imagine a future where oil is almost obsolete, the population has risen too much for industry to provide fuel and foods. So many industries and factories are closing, and tens of millions of industry workers no longer have an income. Power grids start to fail as power demands increase. The World did not create enough alternative power to keep up with population rise, and demands cause so many power failures that eventually 50 percent of people in each of our developed countries have no power at all except for some who bought solar panels. Petrol-electric generators are useless due to lack of fuel.

Soon revolts against the business and banking sectors in modern countries would happen. The remaining industry and finance sectors take the majority of the wealth and profits. Small business closures are not prevented, instead they increase rapidly until towns and cities look like ghost towns. One of few shops to be open would be a gambing betting shop, one of the only facets of modern citylife that will profit from the demise of modern society, because if there are no factories or industries to provide work, then gambling would become the last resort way of making some money.

The Nightmare of our Future

The truth is that this scenario is now a reality. The process of population rise, low oil supply, low food supplies and economic crisis has brought the industries and factories to a close. Tens of millions of people have already lost their jobs and cannot afford simple heating bills for winter or extra food and clothing for their families and children.

It is almost as if the Governments of this World know very well the plight of modern society and wants to destroy as much of it as possible. Why hasn’t enough alternative energy been created to keep in line with population rise?  This is not a ‘mistake’ by Government or oil company analysers, who would have calculated the outcome of population rise and increase demand for oil. A 10 year old kid can understand that it is impossible to keep a rising population supplied with fuel and electricity if we do not create much more alternative power stations, because there is simply not enough oil currently being pumped out of the ground. What excuse do Government have for not prioritizing people’s demands? Think of the hundreds of billions of dollars spent each year on wars and defense… The oil wars are more important to Government than investing in alternative energy.

If we fast-forward a few decades then surely this process of population rise, lack of fuels, failing power grids and lack of incomes will affect far too many people for Government to be able to cope with. Unemployment benefits are generated from taxes. If there are tens of millions of people in America for example who become unemployed over the next few decades due to lack of industry and factory work, then less taxes will be available for benefits.

It is almost a game of elimination being played by Governments to allow major business and banks to corrupt the way money should be invested. Instead of increasing alternative energy stations as a priority, Governments spend hundreds of billions of dollars each year on war, to secure oil supplies from the Middle East.

Government Lack Of Investment in Energy

A humanitarian Government would recognize that a few hundred billion dollars (one year defense spending) would be enough to create new alternative energy stations and to supply homes with solar panels, which would negate the need for much of the Middle East oil.

But we do not have humanitarian Governments in control. Governments are controlled by the powers-that-be.  Arms and oil suppliers in America have always influenced their Government to follow their recommendations. The Iraq invasion was a plan by the arms manufacturers, the oil and construction companies themselves, and they had determined what they wanted from Iraq and the Middle East years before the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq.

These two factors do not go together-
1. industrialists/businessmen who make billions from exploiting oil resources and wars.
2. alternative energy sector, saving factories and small business, human rights groups.

One side of Government is controlled by those who get what they want- (the industrialists). The other is pressured by human rights groups for end of war and the green movement for a new step forward away from oil and conflict. Nothing can stop the industrialists and a business-sector which just make the situation more dire, and more of a race against time.
The time has come to prevent corruption of our planet when we need to establish ways of supplying new energy for people’s lives, for industry and businesses.
A situation where we have the ability to create new energies is being stalled by lack of
urgency, by lack of investment in alternative energy.

Providing fuel and electricity for an increasing World population is the priority, and we cannot accept that hundreds of billions of dollars are spent each year on war and defense when the investment priority of Government should be in alternative energy creation. If we let the industrialists have their way, then the oil and arms manufacturers will continue to have too much power and influence over Government. Within 5 years the U.S could reduce the defense spending by one tenth and put that money into alternative energy projects, to ensure that the rising popultion of the World has fuels and electricity, so that small businesses and homes will function normally.

I do not fancy our chances of ever getting this problem resolved, because of the industrialists and powerful financial-business sector who would not like to see their empires crumble. Instead people’s lives are crumbling away, the future of many families reduced from survivable to impossiblly expensive. Imagine if we do very little to address the fact that within a few generations of people that problems will multiply and become so widespread across nations that it will be impossible for Governments to pull tens of millions of people out of poverty, to create new industry and work and to provide fuel and electricity with increasing population.

Revolution Of the Future

A massive revolt across the World is almost inevitable. It will be against the greed of the few who own most of the World’s resources, against those who manufacture weapons, against the oil and construction companies. People should have a big say in what they want their taxes to be invested in, and the vast majority of people who rather see their industry and economy built up, to see alternative energy save their futures rather than be at the mercy of ignorance and greed. We cannot allow a situation where tens of millions of people are without electricity, without fuel- and without industry an economy will only crumble.

If we fast forward to a reality where this problem has snowballed, then we’ll see the few very rich who have electricity and fuels and hundreds of millions of people without. That will bring rioting and demonstrations for generations to come. Some people beleive that this scenario won’t happen. It already is. Slowly over the coming decades the millions of people will be victims to economic and fuel crisis. If you think it will happen on a specific date, erupting in a mass-stand by the people against this tyrannical future of greed then think again.
The problems happen gradually, each year sees new problems emerge-food crisis in Africa, fuel shortage in Europe, more industry closing down. Eventually there won’t be many modern countries which will survive. China will continue to become the new super-power of industry, and take our employment away from other countries. Meanwhile the tens of millions of unemployed will start to take it’s toll on towns and cities. Previously strong industrial nations slowly weaken and lose wealth and power.

When you think of all the money in the World- perhaps 40 trillion exists in total.
But it exists only in computer form. What good does any of that money really do?
In the future our countries will be reduced to unemployment, and poverty will become a normality for many millions of people. The trillions of dollars across the industrial and business- world will be owned by the few remaining industrial and business sectors. Computers will become obsolete except for business and trading use, military and Govenment.
If the majority of the World’s countries end up short on fuel and electricity then computers and other appliances will be useless. Food will be expensive and scarce. If we let farmland to be ripped up and biofuel crops put in place, then how will we provide for a rising World population?

Biofuels for cars is a bad idea. Electric cars are a great idea- they remove need for oil and fuel.We could then concentrate on alternative energy for electrical supplies to homes and cities. Solar panels could be made cheap for purchase, to satisfy the bulk of home electrical needs.
But how quickly is all this happening- and do Governments prioritize the people’s demands above that of the industrial,arms and finance-business sector? Very rarely.

The End of The World

The World will probably end that way- far too many people requiring so much energy, and lack of energy will bring the end of industry and modern society, who will abandon their electrical life for a self-sufficient farming lifestyle if they are able. What will be Government response to crowds of angry people who know who brought about the demise of their modern lives?
I doubt that Government will be diplomatic and generous. Governments already know that people have woken up to the reality- that this nightmare scenario is already happening, and what we see is the fall of humanity within Government. If Governments truly prioritized their people, then they should now invest in their own economies, create alternative energy and rebuild their own industries.

Once those computers start turning off due to lack of power, people’s lives will also be turned off. Modern existance as we know it and have grown up with will become obsolete, and modern life will become but a a story of a time when the World had an ability to create new technologies like alternative energy for a rising population, but was held to randsom by industrialists, oil and arms manufacturers who pressured Governments for hundreds of billions of the people’s money, just to continue war and exploitation of oil, rather than prioritize investments in alternative energy.

Greed will beget greed. Those climbing on top of each other for the billions of dollars will end up fighting each other, there will a few corporations which will survive.Their ‘Empires’ will shrink to a minimum, with the few elite holding the majority of the World’s wealth in a computer system.
That will be before the remaining people eventually chase the imperical remnance out of town. Because what use to the World are rich people who have nothing of any assistance but a fortune hidden away on a computer banking system that does not invest in the World but merely takes from the people and the World until the people and the World are broken?

Phases of The Moon

The Moon is a cold, rocky body about 2,160 miles (3,476 km) in diameter. It has no light of its own but shines by sunlight reflected from its surface. The Moon orbits Earth about once every 29 and a half days. As it circles our planet, the changing position of the Moon with respect to the Sun causes our natural satellite to cycle through a series of phases:

• • • New Moon > New Crescent > First Quarter > Waxing Gibbous > Full Moon >
      Waning Gibbous > Last Quarter > Old Crescent > New Moon (again)

The phase known as New Moon can not actually be seen because the illuminated side of the Moon is then pointed away from Earth. The rest of the phases are familiar to all of us as the Moon cycles through them month after month. Did you realize that the word month is derived from the Moon’s 29.5 day period?

To many early civilizations, the Moon’s monthly cycle was an important tool for measuring the passage of time. In fact many calendars are synchronized to the phases of the Moon. The Hebrew, Muslem and Chinese calendars are all lunar calendars. The New Moon phase is uniquely recognized as the beginning of each calendar month just as it is the beginning on the Moon’s monthly cycle. When the Moon is New, it rises and sets with the Sun because it lies very close to the Sun in the sky. Although we cannot see the Moon during New Moon phase, it has a very special significance with regard to eclipses.

The Moon’s Two Shadows

An eclipse of the Sun (or solar eclipse) can only occur at New Moon when the Moon passes between Earth and Sun. If the Moon’s shadow happens to fall upon Earth’s surface at that time, we see some portion of the Sun’s disk covered or ‘eclipsed’ by the Moon. Since New Moon occurs every 29 1/2 days, you might think that we should have a solar eclipse about once a month. Unfortunately, this doesn’t happen because the Moon’s orbit around Earth is tilted 5 degrees to Earth’s orbit around the Sun. As a result, the Moon’s shadow usually misses Earth as it passes above or below our planet at New Moon. At least twice a year, the geometry lines up just right so that some part of the Moon’s shadow falls on Earth’s surface and an eclipse of the Sun is seen from that region.

The Moon’s shadow actually has two parts:

• • • The Moon’s faint outer shadow.
    • Partial solar eclipses are visible from within the penumbral shadow.
    • The Moon’s dark inner shadow.
    • Total solar eclipses are visible from within the umbral shadow.

When the Moon’s penumbral shadow strikes Earth, we see a partial eclipse of the Sun from that region. Partial eclipses are dangerous to look at because the un-eclipsed part of the Sun is still very bright. You must use special filters or a home-made pinhole projector to safely watch a partial eclipse of the Sun (see: Observing Solar Eclipses Safely).

What is the difference between a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse? A lunar eclipse is an eclipse of the Moon rather than the Sun. It happens when the Moon passes through Earth’s shadow. Total Solar Eclipses and the Path of Totality

If the Moon’s inner or umbral shadow sweeps across Earth’s surface, then a total eclipse of the Sun is seen. The track of the Moon’s umbral shadow across Earth is called the Path of Totality. It is typically 10,000 miles long but only about 100 miles wide. It covers less than 1% of Earth’s entire surface area. In order to see the Sun become completely eclipsed by the Moon, you must be somewhere inside the narrow path of totality.

The path of a total eclipse can cross any part of Earth. Even the North and South Poles get a total eclipse sooner or later. Just one total eclipse occurs each year or two. Since each total eclipse is only visible from a very narrow track, it is rare to see one from any single location. You’d have to wait an average of 375 years to see two total eclipses from one place. Of course, the interval between seeing two eclipses from one particular place can be shorter or longer. For instance, the last total eclipse visible from Princeton, NJ was in 1478 and the next is in 2079. That’s an interval of 601 years. However, the following total eclipse from Princeton is in 2144, after a period of only 65 years.

Awesome Totality

The total phase of a solar eclipse is very brief. It rarely lasts more than several minutes. Nevertheless, it is considered to be one of the most awe inspiring spectacles in all of nature. The sky takes on an eerie twilight as the Sun’s bright face is replaced by the black disk of the Moon. Surrounding the Moon is a beautiful gossemer halo. This is the Sun’s spectacular solar corona, a super heated plasma two million degrees in temperature. The corona can only be seen during the few brief minutes of totality. To witness such an event is a singularly memorable experience which cannot be conveyed adequately through words or photographs. Nevertheless, you can read more about the Experience of Totality in the first chapter of Totality – Eclipses of the Sun.

Scientists welcome the total eclipse as a rare opportunity to study the Sun’s faint corona. Why is the corona so hot? What causes it to spew massive bubbles of plasma into space through coronal mass ejections? Can solar flares be predicted and what causes them? These major mysteries may eventually be solved through experiments performed at future total eclipses.

Annular Solar Eclipse and the Path of Annularity

Annular Solar Eclipses

Unfortunately, not every eclipse of the Sun is a total eclipse. Sometimes, the Moon is too small to cover the entire Sun’s disk. To understand why, we need to talk about the Moon’s orbit around Earth. That orbit is not perfectly round but is oval or elliptical in shape. As the Moon orbits our planet, it’s distance varies from about 221,000 to 252,000 miles. This 13% variation in the Moon’s distance makes the Moon’s apparent size in our sky vary by the same amount. When the Moon is on the near side of its orbit, the Moon appears larger than the Sun. If an eclipse occurs at that time, it will be a total eclipse. However, if an eclipse occurs while the Moon is on the far side of its orbit, the Moon appears smaller than the Sun and can’t completely cover it. Looking down from space, we would see that the Moon’s umbral shadow is not long enough to reach Earth. Instead, the antumbra shadow reaches Earth.

The track of the antumbra is called the path of annularity. If you are within this path, you will see an eclipse where a ring or annulus of bright sunlight surrounds the Moon at the maximum phase. Annular eclipses are also dangerous to look directly with the naked eye. You must use the same precautions needed for safely viewing a partial eclipse of the Sun (see: Observing Solar Eclipses Safely).

Annularity can last as long as a dozen minutes, but is more typically about half that length. Since the annular phase is so bright, the Sun’s gorgeous corona remains hidden from view. But annular eclipses are still quite interesting to watch. You can read reports about the annular eclipses of 1999 in Australia and 2003 in Iceland. The “Oddball” Hybrid Eclipse

There’s one more type of solar eclipse to mention and its a real oddball. Under rare circumstances, a total eclipse can change to an annular eclipse or vice versa along different sections of the eclipse path. This happens when the curvature of Earth brings different points of the path into the umbral (total) and antumbral (annular) shadows, respectively. Hybrid eclipses are sometimes called annular/total eclipses. The last hybrid eclipse was in 2005 and the next one is in 2013.

Solar Eclipse Frequency and Future Eclipses

During the five thousand year period 2000 BCE to 3000 CE, planet Earth experiences 11,898 solar eclipses as follows:

This works out to an average 2.4 eclipses each year. Actually, the number of solar eclipses in a single year can range from 2 to 5. Nearly 3/4 of the time there are 2 eclipses in a year. On the other hand, it is quite rare to have 5 solar eclipses in a single year. The last time it happened was in 1935 and the next time is 2206. Typically there is 1 total eclipse every 1 to 2 years. Although it is possible to have 2 total eclipses in a single year, it is quite rare. Examples of years containing 2 total eclipses are 1712, 1889, 2057 and 2252.

The Eclipse Magnitude is the fraction of the Sun’s diameter covered by the Moon at greatest eclipse. The last total solar eclipse visible from the continental U.S.A. occured on Feb. 26, 1979. A total solar eclipse was visible from Hawaii and Mexico on July 11, 1991. The next two total solar eclipses visible from the U.S.A. occur on Aug. 21, 2017 and Apr. 8, 2024.

Leis are traditional Hawaiian flower necklaces made of the beautiful and colorful blossoms found in Hawaii. Traditionally, leis were made only from the most attractive blooms, and given on special occasions, such as luaus. Today they are given out much more frequently than in the past, particularly at Hawaiian events for tourists. These necklaces are given as a sign of welcoming and a show of affection.

The wearing of leis is an ancient custom. Captain Cook first recorded the wearing of leis in Hawaii in 1779, but the tradition actually dates back many centuries. It is an early Polynesian idea used for beauty and to distinguish the wearer from others. These leis, usually worn by the upper class, were made not only of flowers but also of feather, beads, ivory, or shells. Another type of traditional lei, today seen less commonly than the floral lei, is one made of Maille leaves. Woven out of these large green leafs, it is associated with the god of Hula, and is today most often seen on hula dancers. In centuries past the maile lei was also used to signify peace between two opposing groups.

Today, leis make excellent favors for luau parties and island-style weddings. Lei presentation ceremonies are a popular part of weddings and Hawaiian-style parties. They can be worn instead of corsages by the wedding party and family, exchanged during the ceremony, or given as wedding favors. They can also be given for birthdays, graduations, or other important events.

When wearing a lei, there is no need for a special occasion; it is appropriate to wear a lei anytime, anywhere. However, there are a couple of rules to follow. First, never refuse a lei. Because it is a symbol of affection, it is considered rude to refuse the offering. Once the flowers have wilted, do not throw the lei in the trash. It should be returned to the place where the flowers were gathered, if possible, or returned to the earth through hanging in a tree, burying, or burning the lei.

No matter where you are in the world, you can likely find a florist who specializes in these beautiful flower necklaces. For low-budget luaus, you can also find colorful and festive leis made of plastic, cloth, or paper.

You can even make your own leis using tropical flowers. Orchids are the most popular choice for Hawaiian leis, although many different tropical blooms can be used. Other common lei flowers are yellow or pink Plumeria, which is also called Frangipani, as well as Lehua Blossoms. These large blossoms are fragrant and beautiful, and are species found all over the islands of Hawaii.

Besides the flowers, you’ll also need some string and a special lei needle, which is usually about 4 inches long to enable it to go all the way through the blossom. You’ll want to push the needle through the bottom part of the flower, and repeat the process until there are five or six blossoms on the needle. Then carefully pull the needle through all of the flowers, being gentle so as to not tear the petals.

Although the process for making leis is fairly simple, it requires quite a bit of practice to make the leis look beautiful without destroying the flowers. You can also connect the flowers by braiding or knotting the stems together, although this requires more skill. There are even classes to teach people how to make leis.
